Catch the Waves Platter Project Fun

March 31, 2012 – Saturday – 10:00am to 3:00PM

Join for this one day really fun workshop where we will teach you how to use stringers and glass to create your own wavy patterned pieces. You’ll fill a full kiln shelf making one large platter and at least two smaller companion pieces that we will fuse and slump for you.

 

About Cynthia Gilkey…

Cynthia Gilkey has had a lifelong love of art and glass.

She has dabbled in stained glass, glass etching and sandblasting & flame-working. Cynthia has stopped the dabbling and has been focused on kiln formed glass since 2004. Cynthia has studied with some of the current masters of kiln formed glass including Alicia Lomné, Bill Hess, Bob Leatherbarrow, Brad Walker, Carrie Iverson, Ellen Abbot & Marc Leva, Jane Persico, Johnathon Schmuck, Mark Abildgaard, Patty Gray and Tony Glander. 

She is an instructional designer and corporate instructor by trade and will brings her own brand of edutainment to Hot Glass Houston.
